A lot of names for such a protrusion, all specific. Batholith, upwelling, magmatic intrusion, pluton. Each has a specificity. And if you know geologists (and I know plenty), they are monsters of specificity.

To hell with them all.

I'd like to think a laccolith is a magmatic intrusion from which we can get milk.

Why not?

I wouldn't know. I'm laccolith intolerant.
