  1. Are you aware that my Jobsite name is Moe Faux? Seriously. It was given to me by John Spencer during the restoration of the Peachtree Apartments in Little Rock, which will be covered in my next "Architectural Vestiges" post. It came from my use of the term in derogatory context, referring to anyone doing something idiotic on the jobsite. Perhaps that's why John Dubbed me such, I dunno. It was he that suggested the French-type spelling of Faux. I stole the term from Jerry Reed. He starred in a movie called "The Survivors" with Walter Matthau and Robin Williams, in which Reed robs a bank in a ski mask and tries to disguise his voice by talking Black. He called people mofos, and of course sounded like a white guy that knew nothing of what black people actually say.
I'm still not sure why I got the name, but M.F is inscribed on all my hand tools.

  2. Maybe I absorbed said data, could be, who knows? Can't say as I was aware of your occupational moniker before you so imparted, or as not or whatever the case may be, who knows? In other words, no, I was not aware or if I was it was without my knowing I was aware, as unawarity is rampant throughout the land. Or so I've heard. Anyway, this guy looks like someone who did something idiotic on the jobsite.
