Leuka

Gods were always falling for nymphs and having their way with them. In this case, Pluto carried Leuka off to his underworld realm. When she died, as all mortals must, he created in her honor a white poplar and placed it in the Elysian Fields. One side of its leaves were white, the other side green, symbolizing both upper and lower worlds. Horticulture once again buys absolution.
