Apparently no relation to the Towanda I met at Promised Land South Carolina; she is probably still performing her bench-draping duties twenty two years after the Verdery Adventure. Righter of wrongs, indeed. She would have broken my cookies, the skinny wench. I stopped her in the nick of time.
I forgot she was named Towanda, too. No, this is the Towanda from Fried Green Tomatoes. The Whistle Stop Cafe was in Alabama, just a pollywog swim from Verdery.
