Hits and Misses and an Occasional Foul
Isn't he a.k.a "Linus" The Lionheart? First major cartoon character given his own show on U.S. TeeVee? I once had a sister that made me watch Linus when I was about three. One of my first memories, in fact.
Wood eye post a 3rd rate cartoon character? One invented to sell Crispy Critters? I think not, mon frere. I refer to Vincent Price's character in 'Theatre of Blood,' which, while not Dr. Phibes, is similar and the next best thing. (Plus, it had - sigh - Diana Rigg.)
I forgot about Crispy Critters. And now that I think about it, his name was actually Linus the Lionhearted.
